Each captain's license number and a current insurance certificate are reviewed by our team before they can list. We do not inspect vessels — captains are responsible for seaworthiness.
Payment protection
Pay only through Stowaway. Your money is held until the voyage is completed and fully refunded if the captain declines or cancels — including for weather.

Reviews come from travelers who booked through Stowaway. Paying a captain off-app means no payment protection and no review.
